The Prancing Horse Collection celebrates one of nature's most enduring symbols of grace, strength, and freedom.

Each design begins as an original drawing or painting, inspired by years spent in the saddle, at ringside, and studying the quiet language of horses in motion. Through a process that evolves from sketchbook to hand-carved wax sculpture, these works are transformed into finely crafted sterling silver and 14k gold heirlooms.

The lifted foreleg, arched neck, and animated spirit captured in each piece reflect not only the beauty of the horse, but the artist's lifelong devotion to the equestrian world. Every curve is carefully sculpted to preserve the energy and elegance that have fascinated artists for centuries.

Created in Salina Ramsay's Kentucky studio, the Prancing Horse Collection embodies the journey From Canvas to Gold—where fine art becomes wearable sculpture and each piece carries the story of the artist's hand.

The Design Process

Each unique piece of fine jewelry Salina Ramsay creates is done using the traditional lost wax method. Salina began designing jewelry for the horse industry in 1986.

Each design is an original creation and usually begins with a study Salina creates as a sketch on paper or from one of her original oil paintings. Some designs, such as Selvaggia, are carved directly into the wax without a sketch. Because of the painstaking and meticulous detail involved, Salina only creates a handful of new pieces each year.
