All Salina Ramsay designs begin with a study on paper or from a finished work of art in oil or watercolor.
The second phase involves sculpting the design in wax. From this carved wax pattern, a first casting is made in sterling silver or gold.
From this casting, a hollow mold will be created that will receive molten wax that will then cool and form another wax pattern. This pattern will be "sprued" onto a "tree" and will then be cast in 14k or 18k gold. From this casting, master goldsmiths will painstakingly finish the piece to polished perfection.
